Washington, DC – Nikole Hannah-Jones, New York Times reporter and the author of “The 1619 Project,” is at it again this morning with a renewed call for reparations to be paid out to African Americans. On MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Hannah-Jones insisted we “have to take this seriously.” She also expects people to believe her when she says the damage caused by rioters across America is “not violence.”
“Ms. Hannah-Jones’ demands for reparations would be hilarious if they weren’t so dangerous,” said Bishop Aubrey Shines. Bishop Shines is chairman of the newly formed Conservative Clergy of Color, a coalition of pastors and ministers dedicated to uncovering where the racism in our country truly lies; the foundations of the Democratic Party.
“Liberals and Democrats have wanted to redistribute wealth for years, and now they’re hijacking the conversation on race in a despicable, Marxist attempt to steal money from hard working Americans to line their pockets,” Bishop Shines said. “Raising taxes and distributing this money would be problematic in the best of times, but our economy at the breaking point thanks to coronavirus. This would just bring more chaos and further divide Americans on race. Moreover, what do they hope to accomplish by handing out paychecks for no work to black Americans? I’ll tell you; this is how Democrats keep black Americans under their thumb. For decades poor blacks have been kept on a leash by bloated, failing welfare programs pushed by Democrats. Since slavery isn’t legal anymore and Jim Crow was outlawed, this is how they plan to keep us in line.”
