Coonrod refused to kneel to Black Lives Matter’s anti-American agenda
Tampa, FL – Conservative Clergy of Color’s Chairman Bishop Aubrey Shines issued a strong statement of support for San Francisco Giants pitcher Sam Coonrod following his refusal to kneel while the national anthem was played during last night’s game against the L.A. Dodgers. Coonrod was the only player who did not take a knee during the anthem, explaining afterwards that the only thing he kneels to is his God and that he doesn’t support the Black Lives Matter agenda.
“I’m a Christian, like I said, and I just can’t get on board with a couple of things that I have read about Black Lives Matter. How they lean towards Marxism and they’ve said some negative things about the nuclear family,” Coonrod said. “I just can’t get on board with that.”
“I’m moved by this young man’s courage and faith,” said Bishop Shines. “He knows where to give his due for all that’s good in this world. Our country was founded on the principles of the Enlightenment and Christianity. Americans don’t bow to anything or anyone except God Almighty. The Leftists who run Black Lives Matter want to strip our country of those principles with the worship of ‘the revolution,’ but I’m pleased to see that Mr. Coonrod isn’t going to be bullied by the mob that’s got so many of our so-called leaders running scared.”
